Don’t Hold Back your Online Marketing

Would you say that I’m pretty good at marketing? I think so. Am I the one of the best? Probably not. I think there’s people who are better than me at everything out there. I believe you can always get better. So just like me you probably have a similar attitude. You want to learn online marketing – how do you do it? Today, I’m going to share you how to learn online marketing.

1. Read Quality Blogs

The first thing you need to do is go to the blogosphere. So you can go to Google type in any keywords. A lot of blogs rank high. You could type in “online marketing”. You can type in “SEO”.

Alternatively, you can go to:
moz.com/blog
searchengineland.com
backlinko.com/blog

These are three sites that will teach you about marketing. They will give you all the information you need to know to learn online marketing. You should read these blogs daily. They continually crank out new content.

This will help keep you on top of industry trends because Google, Facebook and all these social media and ad platforms out there keep changing. So if you don’t stay on top you’re going to get outdated and you’re not going to do well.

2. Implement

As a marketer step number two and this is really important, is to implement what you’re learning. Now I don’t recommend that you implement what you’re learning on your own business. If you’re starting off you should create a fake website.

So go to WordPress.com and set up a site. It’s free and you can create a blog. You can then take these tactics and implement them on this free site that you created. Eventually, you’ll learn what’s working and what’s not. Once you use a tactic and you realize hey this is somewhat working you can then take that tactic and implement it on your business.

That’s how I’ve learned marketing. It’s through actually doing. Reading is one thing but if you never implement you’ll never learn.

3. Google Search Console

The third thing that you can do is go to Google Search Console and add your URL. It’ll show you what’s wrong with your web page. It’s free and Google will tell you all the errors that they’re finding on your website. You fix them and naturally your site is going to increase in ranking. You can also use a few Google Search Console tips from one of my previous posts.

There are also paid tools like moz.com to get data on what changes need to make to your website.

So in conclusion, if you use these three tips that’s how you can own marketing. It’ll take time before you see the results but it works. Have I got your thinking? Would love to hear your comments below.
