Warning: You’re Losing Money by Not Using Old Content

You want more traffic. Well, who doesn’t? Everyone does. But to get more traffic, everyone always says you need to create new content. That’s a lot of work, and you know what? That’s not entirely true. Today, I’m going to share a few ideas on how you can drive more traffic with your old content.

1. Recycle on Facebook

Take all of your old content and continually post it on your Facebook fan / business page over and over again. Say, articles that were published a year ago, re-share them on Facebook. You know what? It’ll drive traffic.

2. Tweet at least 10 times a day

The second thing you need to do is tweet out 10 times a day. If you tweet only once a day, you may get less than 1000 visitors a month. On the other hand, if you tweet over 10 times a day, you will possibly get over 4000 visitors a month.

What you want to do is schedule your tweets. Don’t worry, if you don’t have a Twitter business account, you can use free tools to buffer them. Tools like Hootsuite or Buffer.

Once you have it all set up, you want to take all your old content and schedule it to tweet roughly 10 times a day. That way your old content is continually driving traffic back to your site.

3. Write on LinkedIn

The third thing you need to do is share your content on LinkedIn. But share content you haven’t posted in a while on LinkedIn. What I mean by that is, actually write not just post articles on LinkedIn.

Take your old content, put the first few paragraphs on LinkedIn, and then at the end add “Read more.” That “Read more” link will drive people back to your site. It’s a great way to drive traffic to your website and is an affirmation of user intent.

So in conclusion, if you use these three tips, not only will you be able reduce the pressure of coming up with new content constantly, you will also get far more website visitors by recycling content you already have.

I’d like to grow my readership. Can you help me out by sharing this article?
